Oh, yes…..crossing my legs in church noticing my shoe, not remembering that I’d worn that pair…I hadn’t-the other foot had a different shoe 😵‍💫

Grandchildren keep us humble… like, “Mosie, why you have those lines by your eyes when you laugh?” I can either scowl (which does not remove said lines, by the way, but only calls them to deeper attention) or l can say, “They’re a gift from your dad,” and go on! Baby, I’ve earned these laugh lines! 🤣

I love the nickname Mosie! And their honesty sure does keep us humble!

Laughing very out loud right now. Love doing life with you through these posts, Michelle! Trying mine on backwards as we speak. Maybe we’ll start something!

Ha ha! A grandma trend. Frankly, it would be so much more functional to have those big pockets on the front instead of my backside.

One reason I'm the grin gal is because I give myself so much could-be-embarrassing content to laugh about. I misread your word "mishaps" as "misshapes" and I figured that would be my beauty pageant name. Here she is, Miss Shapes. Because round and double bellied is a shape, right? Thanks for the fun but true essay on life!

Misshapes is pretty appropriate for midlife too. Although, I'm perfectly and appropriately shaped for a vegetable—squash or eggplant come to mind—that isn't what I aspired to when I was twenty.
