Bookstack: What I'm Reading Lately
July 2024 Reading List
I love books, and I love getting recommendations from others. Today, I’m introducing a new Life Repurposed feature. Once a month I’ll pop into your feed with the books I’ve been reading lately. Maybe you’ll find a few to add to your wishlist or recommend to friends
I like to have a fiction book going and a nonfiction book. Do you read more than one book at a time? More than two? Confession: I’ve been known to have a nonfiction print book, a novel, and a nonfiction audiobook all in progress at the same time.
Fiction
I recently read Stories that Bind Us by Susie Finkbeiner and More than We Remember by Christina Suzann Nelson. I’ve enjoyed getting to know some authors that are newer to me after a break from Christian fiction when I burned out on Amish fiction. No bonnets or buggies in these!
I’m just starting to read Something Worth Doing by Jane Kirkpatrick, another author that is new to my shelves.
Nonfiction
My nonfiction reading is diverse. I like to explore topics that push me to think or that challenge my beliefs a bit. Sometimes I agree with the author, and sometimes it makes me think, even if I disagree.
I recently read The After Party and started the video course. I highly recommend it if you’d like to think beyond politics to the party after this life.
I just started listening to the audiobook of Othered by Janai Auman. I’ve already recommended it to two people.
